Indication: The cloverleaf plate is a buttress plate designed to sit on the medial aspect of the distal tibia. It is thin and can be easily cut. The plate has a frontal wing which allows fixation to the medial malleous. The plate can also be modified by having this frontal wing cut of which allows it use on the anterior plane of distal tibia. It should be bend pre-operatively to accurately match the contours of the segment of the bone to be fixed. And oval hole allows for temporary fixation of the plate prior to final adjustment and fixation.
